I don't know if the problem is related to the JVM or to the embedded system that you are using. In fact, I have tried to replicate your problem by running two instance of OSGi both with the UPnP Basedriver installed on a Sun JVM Linux 2.6/i686 architecture and I haven't received any error related to "Address already in use". I have also tried to execute a native UPnP application and a OSGi platform running the UPnP Basedriver and again I have received no error at all.

Can you execute two instance of the OSGi platform with the UPnP Base Driver first on a PC with the Sun JVM and later on a PC with the JAMVM?

Do you have any other JVM to try on your embedded system?

Can you give us more detail regarding the global scenario so that I can understand better what is going on...

Thank you!
