Dear sana,
I downloaded the twonkymedia server for Linux, and I tried to replicate
your problem on a Ubuntu 9.04 i686, but I didn't received any error. I
performed the following test: I started the TwonkyMedia Server and later
I started an OSGi platform with the UPnP Base Driver, UPnP Tester, and
UPnP Clock running. As I said before I didn't received any
"java.net.BindException: Address already in use" error and I could
discover and control all the UPnP Device by means of both the UPnP Base
Driver and UPnP Tester.
Did you try to replicate the problem of UPnP Base Driver + TwonkyMedia
Server on a "standard PC" ? If you tried, did you receive any error
during the test?
I even more convinced that the problem may rely on the embedded
operating system itself, which it may allow only a process at the time
to open a multicast socket identified by <ip, port> couple. As you may
have already notice that limitation doesn't exist on a full featured
operating system. Can you tell us the embedded operating system that you
are using?
Ciao,
