Marcus,

The best approach would be to work out of a publicly available github repo
and post your updates to the group at [email protected].  This way, there
is a very good chance that you will be able to gather interest and get
others to help you out.

I will be able to help out with development of the component and when time
comes, get the component committed into the official sdk repo.
