Yes, you are right, but only if I am saving the distances that have already been calculated to an array so I know that they already exist and can look them up. It has yet to be determined if the mechanics of saving and retrieving to a super huge array will save any time or not. I will report by some time tomorrow.
As far as the pythagorean theorem was concerened, the results were accurate enough but saved no noticeable time. In other words, the actual math is not the real culprit here with the speed in the grand scheme of things. I am learning so much.
