Hi :) It might be a good idea to just post a bug-report with whatever relevant info you can give. Don't worry about providing info you don't know how to get as the devs and triagers that respond to the report might be able to help with that.
Are you able to use Java 1.6.0_21 or the _20 or _22? The _21 seems best for LibreOffice but newer releases such as the _24 or _26 seem to cause problems in LibreOffice but are good for web-browsers and stuff. I think it's possible to have more than 1 java installed. Someone there might know if the XML filter code has been changed and what effect that might have on your XSLT filter (and I seem to recall that it has).
