Hi :)
Hmmm, running out of options.  Have you tried running antivirus scans on the
machine?  I assume that after installing you reboot at least once?  (LO
probably doesn't need it but Windows can be funny like that)

Can you uninstall and reinstall Java?  Perhaps find one of the pre-release
version 7s?  I think they are on 1.7u4 now
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre-7u4-download-1591157.html
Java 6u31 should be reasonably safe but all the way up to 7u3 they seem to have
had problems with threats already out in the wild.  'Obviously' you want a JRE
(=java runtime environment) rather than a developer's kit (jdk).

Regards from
Tom :)

I reran G:\test\LibreOffice 3.4 (4f600ba6) Installation Files\setup.exe
since I already had it extracted/unpacked. So, I hope that's OK to save
time. I ran its Repair. I reran Writer, same crash. I deleted my
C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\LibreOffice\ and
reran it. Same results. LO hates my old XP Pro. SP3 machine. :(

I assume you mean C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application
Data\LibreOffice\, then yes I did earlier.
