If you have a sane mail-reader, all you have to do is click on Reply-to-all and it will interpret the list headers correctly to send the reply only to the list. There may even be a Reply to List button.
This is how readers and lists are designed to work. So there's no pain at all in being considerate and hence no excuse not to do it.
