I'm confused - is the "-sync" option available to jsv in a newer version? Or is 
it still not possible to detect the use of "-sync" from jsv scripts?

Thx, I wasn't aware of it. I can see a reason behind this as the  
`qsub` forked already or not in some way. But it could at least be a  
read-only parameter I would suggest.
