GitHub user dmainou added a comment to the discussion: Passing parameters from workflow to pipeline
Been using kettle over 10 years and Hop for ~5: If you set a parameter in a pipeline with a value and you tick the box that say pass parameters downstream you don't need to do anything else. Parameters flow downstream without issues. Of course you need to name parameters in the sub transformation in the exact same way This covers your first 3 screenshots. Now your last 2 screenshots refer to variables. Variables are distinct from parameters and, although I understand that kettle let's you cross pollinate, this is really is not a good idea and has been tightened in Hop. One thing you could do is to land the variable and pass that down as a parameter therefore existing in both realms. <img width="714" height="464" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/1bdf2bab-4439-4fd2-92f7-556d3b64915e" /> GitHub link: https://github.com/apache/hop/discussions/5991#discussioncomment-14954885 ---- This is an automatically sent email for [email protected].
