Basically, your SOL. Win98 cant even run wamp2, apache1.0.2, php2, mysql1.0. I have no clue why you are so reluctant because PHP is availible on all platforms now (in fact, windows is only recent -- php2 was the first version to be released for windows. windows 2000 to be exact.) Linux is going to be alot more stable for what you want. I have one (1) windows apache php mysql machine and it has its issues (usually because PHP5 was NOT made for windows, it was made for Linux/UNIX.)
