Yes I had. The DBRD partition is unavailable for some time during a controller fail-over. It has implications on where log files are stored e.g. If an application use the DRBD partition, it might not be able to deliver service during the fail-over. If the application is running on payloads only, chances are it will not observe any disturbance from the controller fail-over. Of course dependent on what the application is doing. E.g. if the application wants to create a checkpoint a millisecond after the active checkpoint director has died, it will be hanging waiting for the controller fail-over to complete.
