Hi,

I am evaluating the OpenSAF middleware primarily for HA purposes. I've managed
to run the AvSvDemo example on one controller node and two payload nodes. This
has worked well without too many problems.

I would envisage using the OpenSAF framework in a cluster of just two physical
nodes/slots i.e. controller node configured in 2N configuration and my
application also configured in 2N configuration on the same physical nodes

While running controller and application on the same node is allowed are there
any reasons why one should not do this? My reasoning for doing this is that I
can't justify having two physical nodes used solely for the purpose of running
controller nodes.

Also, has anyone managed to run the AvSvDemo application on the same node as
the controller? I am assuming that the only file that needs to be changed is
the AppConfig.xml file? I have tried editing this file and restarting the
controller node but without any success. Or does the nodeinit.conf file also
have to be modified.

Would be very grateful if someone could help me with getting application
running on same node as controller.

Thanks,
Dave
