Thanks, Matti. The adapter is the following:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/2-in-1-5-0-Audio-USB-Bluetooth-Transceiver-Transmitter-Receiver-Adapter-Wireless/163945014115?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

The mysterious thing is that the adapter is now working with my
headphones, but I still get:

----------------------------------
# systemctl status bluetooth
● bluetooth.service - Bluetooth service
     Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/bluetooth.service;
enabled; vendor preset: enabled)
     Active: inactive (dead)
       Docs: man:bluetoothd(8)

Oct 07 19:10:34 new-host systemd[1]: Condition check resulted in
Bluetooth service being skipped.
#
----------------------------------

And when I mute the audio of my computer, I listen to a continuous
noise on my headphones.
