Hi All, As Windows 11 has become a security and privacy nightmare and is being banned all over the place where sensitive information is involved, migrating to Fedora has become a hot topic around my circles. Fedora's big deal killer is QuickBooks Desktop. Is the ANY alternative to it? And it MUST support both payroll and inventory. Yours in Frustration, -T
I don't know if this will work for you. I assume Quickbooks is from the same people who produce Quicken. I used Quicken for years to track personal finances. My Windows 10 system had a catastrophic failure. Quicken was the only reason I had it as my Fedora desktop was my workhorse. I looked into Crossover from Code Weavers. It's a supported implementation of WINE. It was free to try so I gave it a shot. I installed it on my Fedora system then installed Quicken in it. It worked! I now gladly pay for yearly support. It's $74/year but in subsequent years I got it at about a 50% discount. I don't know if it will work for you and Quickbooks but it's free to try.
