The blu-ray drive is an LG UltraHD Blu-Ray drive, also labelled (on the
box) "UHD Blu-ray WRITER". Since it is already UHD, I would think its
firmware already includes what's needed to handle both UHD and
copy-protection. It does not make sense to me that it needs "altered
firmware".
If what you say includes UHD drives, then how do I appropriately "alter"
the firmware?
