what the hell - Fedora 16 is EOL since months
Fedora 17 is EOL in a few months

DO NOT DO THIS

you need to understand that RHEL5/RHEL6 are BASED on F6/F12 BUT
RHEL get updates and security fixes over years while Fedora NOT
