You *can use Adobe Reader 32bit on a 64bit system if you want to pollute your 
64bit system with 32bit libraries. Otherwise, Adobe,
in their infinite wisdom, not only refuses to update Reader for Linux but has 
never had a 64bit native version.  Evince/Okular are
the way to go.
