I unfortunately don't see any suggested "fixes". I did find this bug
report from rpmfusion:

real resolution either.
VLC devs seemed to think it was a bug in libtag
As I said in the original mail, the workaround I am using is to
(re)move /usr/lib64/vlc/plugins/meta_engine/libtaglib_plugin.so
However, realistic this isn't probably the best solution.
