Unfortunately, you've exhausted my personal list of things to check
when Maven does not work. Based on what you've said, it seems to be
something in Vista that is causing you problems, but since I don't run
Vista, I'm not much help.

Perhaps someone else on Vista who does not have these problems will
reply with how they got it working. And if/when you solve the problem,
please do reply back with instructions for other people.
