Hi, The wiki page notes that StateManager is pluggable. What's the proper way to plugin one's own StateManager? Application.setStateManager? Or through some factory implementation? Or is there a classname that I can configure somewhere?

You can read more about both options on the wiki. See [1] to get you started. Once you have the right parameters, it's a simple matter of (a) retrieving fresh data from your back end; and (b) making sure JSF displays the new data.
