But surely this is unnecessarily complicated advice? Read the Apple
support article at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5290 for details.
There is no point in going through the complicated process of
disabling Gatekeeper if you are going to re-enable it immediately
after. To override Gatekeeper individually for a particular
installation, use Control-click, as suggested in the article under
"How to open an app from a unidentified developer and exempt it from
Gatekeeper".
