Sorry - as my reply is off topic, but could not resist commenting :)
The times Orwell was talking about have always been on earth, at least
for the last several thousand years.
There is an age, a season of time, lasting 1.76 million years, as
recorded in the ancient scripture called
The Veda.
That season of time is called Satya Yuga (The Age of Truth). It will
dawn 426,973 years after this year.
