[users] Pasting from email

I've found that when I try to copy and paste from an email or web page 
into an OOo document, the paste doesn't work. What I have to do is paste 
the extract into Kword, and then copy and paste from Kword.
This is not too great a hassle, and I don't need to paste from email all 
that often, but I'm curious to know why this is so.
