I think you'll have to work with gmail on this one -- maybe they can
backtrack to find out who created that account. We certainly can't help
with that. But if you contact [EMAIL PROTECTED] and ask for
[EMAIL PROTECTED] to be unsubscribed, telling them what's going
on, you should be able to get rid of the messages from this list, at
least. That was really a dirty trick for somebody to pull. It sounds as
if they set that account up to subscribe to lists, responded to any
confirmation requests, and then redirected the traffic to your real
account. The whole idea of the confirmations is to keep this kind of
thing from happening, but it is obviously insufficient. Unfortunately,
there's nothing to keep them from doing the same thing again with
another account even after you get rid of this one. I wish you luck in
finding out who's doing this to you.

Please delete/unsubscribe the email address [EMAIL PROTECTED] from all Google
lists. This is NOT my email address and is an address used to harass my
business. I would like to know where this email originates so that I can
pursue legal action.
My email address [EMAIL PROTECTED] has been hijacked by this emailer where I
have been forwarded hundreds of lists to my business clogging up my mailbox for
the past several weeks.

If you are trying to unsubscribe using this account
([EMAIL PROTECTED]), it is failing because this is not the
account that subscribed. The subscription process was done from another
account, and that account also replied to a confirmation request. You
may be able to determine from the full message header in one of these
messages what the subscribed account was. Normally, the message to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] would have to be sent from that
account, and the subsequent confirmation message would need to be
responded to from there, also. Russell Butler sent you the information
about how to get to a human being responsible for the list (a message to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]), but none of us who use the list for asking
and answering questions can do anything to unsubscribe you.

I have repeatedly asked to terminate the subscription from this list. I might add an email discouragement to any emails sent to me from this list with a Reply after today, which of course may cause problems with software of computers linked to this list.
I have requested termination of this subscription for over a week and you continue to flood my business mailbox. I have also sent messages, which are entirely ignored, to the list. I NEVER subscribed to this list-my email address was maliciously hijacked. I have tried over and over to get this adress removed, but your unsubscribe link does not permit it.
