But there'll most certainly be another along shortly......... Here's an idea off the top of my head that would possibly cure the worst of this sort of thing. Most people sending to the list only send a handful of messages a day, if that. Suppose the list manager checked the number passing through, and if "too many" sent back a "please confirm" message. If that weren't replied to in a timely way, it could throttle the number of messages for a time and finally forcibly unsubscribe the sender - which would at least make sure they went to a moderator - or just start bouncing them.
