Got a problem with a doc and don't know how to get rid of it. I've been copying and pasting page sections from web pages. Now to remove the web formatting I've been moving the copy to a text editor then from there to the OO.o writer. Works quick and easy and actually comes out just the way I wanted it now for the last few months. Recently though, like a week or so ago, I moved over an email address. Going through the text editor like I do it removes all such hyperlinks which is my intention. When it pasted into Writer, Writer re-created the link for that email which was ok by me.

The problem I just happened to noticed is, now any text I paste or type below that email link is itself a link to the same email. All text (underlined or not) becomes a link no matter what I do. The stuff I'm bringing over is pure text to past in and all I do is add some minor formatting (bold and underlining some stuff) after its pasted. But even if I don't format any of it, its added to the link. I've tried accessing the link properties to remove the link itself but either I'm doing that wrong or its just not working.

My current kludge to the fix was to copy the whole doc over to the text editor (ctl-A, ctl-C) and then move it to a new doc, then add the bold and underlining like I had, this of course worked so I'm safe there and happy again :). But I did save the original so I can mess with it and not worry about the content but don't know what to try now.

Any ideas?
JB
