Well, I had to check out the Paint.NET application and although I can't
comment on the actual program yet (but I can tell I'll be losing a few

While installing the bottom of the splash screen read (or words to this

Looks like my adding those links helped "someone".
Also if you go to the forum and other links, you can find many
add ons to Paint.NET. I do not use those programs. I have been
using Paint Shop Pro 5.0 for so many years, I do not want to change.

This thread is an example of how one question about OpenOffice.org
can offer a solution to a problem using other Open Source software.
For Windows environments, this list talked about Firefox browser,
Thunderbird Email client (which I use now), Scribus desktop publishing,
KompoZer for web pages, various photo editors, and other free stuff
from the open source community.
I have a list, that is a work in progress, for free stuff at

and several of the items came from the recommendations
from people on this OOo list.
