I wish I knew how to help you and have no clue. I was never asked for credit card info & had I, I wouldn't have given it out. For that matter, you might as well have purchased the actual Microsoft program.
I am STILL TRYING to get OpenOffice "users" to stop bombarding me with all the
redundant emails! i get over 100 a day!
Good luck with your cancellation.
Sabrina, it sounds as if you are trying to unsubscribe from this list. I
don't know what you've tried or what happened, but I'll describe the
process and hope it helps.
From this account (mrandmr...@att.net) send a message to
users-unsubscr...@openoffice.org. (The subject and content are ignored,
only the address matters.) You should soon get an unsubscribe
confirmation message. Once you respond to that, your subscription will
be canceled. If you do not soon receive such a message, it may be that
it is being treated as spam -- check your "junk" folders to see if it's
there. Another possibility is that your request is not being seen as
coming from this account. In that case, there is an alternate form that
might be useful: users-unsubscribe-mrandmrs_b=att....@openoffice.org
(note the equals sign instead of the at sign in the address).
That will also result in a confirmation message to mrandmr...@att.net.
You must receive the unsubscribe confirmation request and follow its
instructions. If the above process does not work for you, there is no
way we can help. You may be able to contact users-ow...@openoffice.org
and explain the problem.
