The "[Moderated]" in the Subject line is *not* a reliable indicator. As
far as I know the *only* reliable indicator is the presence or absence
of the "Delivered To: moderator..." header.
If I may add a little more help for those reading the list via
gmane/Thunderbird. There are two thunderbird extensions which facilitate
checking headers:
"View Headers Toggle Button"
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/210
and the "Header scroll extension"
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/1003
The latter makes it possible to scroll through the list shown by the
"View Headers Button"
I use them to check for the "Delivered To: moderator..." header when I
suspect that a message comes from an unsubscribed source.
