I have been using OpenOffice 1.0.0 since 2004 and have updated to
1.1.5. I am now in the process of installing 2.0.3. I came to the
question about making Microsoft my default. Do I want to? Is this
stand procedure?
Will I be able to access my documents.
The question only effects the way Microsoft documents are opened.
If you don't have Microsoft Office, then tick each box. That means that
OpenOffice.org will open any Microsoft documents you have.
If you do have Microsoft Office, then don't tick the boxes. You would
likely prefer Microsoft Office to open Microsoft documents.
