I haven't seen this using PCLinuxOS, so it's not a KDE thing.
Just a guess: if you change the icons to industrial or standard, do
you still have the problem?

if you're talking about changing the theme in the control centre then
yes i've done that. If not i'm not sure how to change those settings.
Are they in office itself?
