Also in My computer or Windoes Explorer (which I use mostly)
click on TOOLS
FOLDER OPTIONS
scroll down to DOC
and then do a CHANGE for programs to open that file extention.
This isn't for the MS Office file types, this is for the OOo filetypes
(.odt/ott, .ods/ots, .odp/otp)...
