I'm using OO 2.2.1 on a Mac OS X system to write a technical article
containing some equations and math symbols. To insert individual
symbols in the text I have to click on 'Insert' in the menu, then
'Special Character', then the character I need, then 'Open'. At this
point the character is inserted as requested, but the character table
disappears, so to insert another symbol elsewhere I have to go thru the
whole clicking rigamarole all over again.
Is there a way to get the chosen symbol table to stay open, cutting out
a lot of the extra repetitive steps?
