This is a very useful piece of information. If you don't mind I will propose
to capture it in the next edition of the Impress  Guide on OOoAuthors.

I guess it should be easy to write a macro to do the resizing and
positioning of the picture. Actually, it should even be possible with a bit
more effort to automate the import process.
