Often I must manipulate text (copy/cut/paste) from within a file or multiple files. When one copies and cuts text in Calc, the formatting (background, borders, font, size) is copied with it. I need that ONLY the text be copied, and that the background will stay in place even if I cut the text.
I know that to paste text without formatting one can long click the Paste button on the toolbar, however, I have physical difficulties manipulating the mouse so I prefer keyboard navigation. I cannot perform SHIFT-CTRL-V either, as that requires fingers that I cannot use. I need to set the default CTRL-V to relate to text only, not formatting. How is this done? Thank you very much in advance. While I have no problem trying alternative methods of pasting and I welcome all suggestions, I _really_ need the default cut/copy/paste options to be text-only. So if someone will suggest that I "try something else" then I will, but I still need that the default be text only. Thank you for understanding. Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
