I'm working a mail merge document and use OpenOffice 2.4.

the total pages is 7. When I preview, there are 3 blank document??
Mail merge makes the - probably sensible - assumption that you will
wish to separate the printed results and send different copies to
different recipients. If you are printing double-sided, this creates
a problem. Each copy of the final document must start on a new sheet
- on an odd page or recto, that is. If your individual documents have
an odd number of pages, Writer automatically inserts blank pages to
accomplish this. Your document appears to have a single page, and you
need the four copies to print on four sheets of paper, not on both
sides of two sheets.
What should I do to delete the blank document??
If you are printing double-sided, you will not want to do this. Print
the full document and the separate letters will start on separate sheets.
If you are printing single-sided, go to Tools | Options.. |
OpenOffice.org Writer | Print | Other, and remove the tick next to
"Print automatically inserted blank pages". Alternatively, you can
reach the same option on the fly during the print operation: the Print
dialogue has an Options... button which will take you to the same
panel of options.
I trust this helps.

I've tried make a mail merge document that has even number of pages.
after I merged it, I don't have a problem like I ask in this forum but
when I try odd number of pages, it's always make me upset.
Do you have another alternative to remove the blank document? I think
it's not efficient bacause I've tried in M$ office, it hasn't a problem
like in OOo.
