Mail merge makes the - probably sensible - assumption that you will
wish to separate the printed results and send different copies to
different recipients. If you are printing double-sided, this creates
a problem. Each copy of the final document must start on a new sheet
- on an odd page or recto, that is. If your individual documents
have an odd number of pages, Writer automatically inserts blank pages
to accomplish this. Your document appears to have a single page, and
you need the four copies to print on four sheets of paper, not on
both sides of two sheets.
What should I do to delete the blank document??

Do you have another alternative to remove the blank document?
No. I don't understand why you need one.
I think it's not efficient ...
I'm suggesting that you adjust one simple setting - and only if
necessary. Isn't that an ideal solution?
Now that someone has mentioned this, I have a little question. I was
successfully able to use Mail Merge in OOo 2.3.1 in Debian Lenny to
print out labels and other documents withthe option to print the
automatically generated blank pages unchecked which prevented the
automatic blank pages.
However, in the new version, OOo 2.4, on Debian Sid as well as Windows
XP, unchecking that option does not appear to work. I have tried
unchecking that option for Writer as well as for spreadsheets. Can
anyone confirm that this option works both for labels as well as for
letters in OOo 2.4?
BTW, automatically generated pages are a pure nuisance if one has single
sided printer or if one is printing single sided.
thanks,
