Assuming you're running Windows, the install process is:
1) Download the latest Windows version from www.openoffice.org.
2) Double click on the downloaded file, to start the install process.
3) Proceed through the installation panels, generally using the default
settings.
4) When the installation is complete, there should be an OpenOffice
folder & icons in your Start menu. Use the icons to start the various
OpenOffice components.
