Two more suggestions: - Maybe a short talk on Beads, on how and where to find them. My biggest problem is that you guys have created beads for a lot of scenarios, but I don't even know they exist. Since it is such a huge concept in the Royale way of web designing, I think this needs to be a little clearer for new people. I come from Flex, so it made sense to look for these things, but for a new user out of college who has never touched Royale, I fear they may be lost to the idea.
- How can we contribute. I am really enjoying working with Royale and could see it being a cornerstone to my web development as long as it keeps progressing as it is. Unfortunately, I do not believe that I am capable enough of a programmer to play with the underbelly of Royale and write/modify classes, integrate it with a compiler, etc. But I could help with documentation from time to time, which I think is SORELY needed for new users. You guys have created great examples, but it is unclear how to easily find them. You demonstrate that people can use tools a certain way, but then something gets missed because the example explanation was just a paragraph. Following the various threads, I don't think a single user hasn't run into a big headache, myself included, when trying to incorporate AMF which is a HUGE advantage to other frameworks. I think of a very clear document with very clear and concise instructions and how to debug it, etc would be vastly helpful. This is a way that I would be able to contribute some of my time in a constructive way. Give people a clear idea of how they can help, and you may find yourself getting a lot more help. -- Sent from: http://apache-royale-users.20374.n8.nabble.com/
