You don't, today. I'm just wondering aloud why the plugin couldn't take information like the SOGo URL from autoconfig data, rather than requiring a URL hard-coded in the plugin. If the information came from autoconfig, it should be possible to distribute a generic extension, and completely eliminate the need for customization and a site-specific update server.
