What is AWL rule? Why it gives so different amount of points?

"Auto Whitelist" is a misleading name. It is actually a score averager. Since the points it applies are based on the historical scoring from that sender, the score will vary by who the sender is and when the message is processed (i.e. their history to-date).

Thank you for the clear and simple explanation.

Perhaps:
        AWL (AutomaticWhiteList)
should be renamed to:
        AWL (Averaging-Whitelister)
<NOT JOKING, despite humorous acronym constant>

While the acronym would/could stay the same, the standard
expanded form should say it is an "Averaging" - something
(whitelister, blacklister, whatever).

The important point is not that it's automatically applied, but
that it's _A_veraging...

This clarifies this long outstanding Q for me as well.

Thanks!
Linda
