You can reject based on normal usage, but it is RFC compliant. "Each line of characters MUST be no more than 998 characters, and SHOULD be no more than 78 characters, excluding the CRLF." The 78 character "SHOULD" limit is only there to make the content more readable on 80-column terminals.
