I think more installations use Apache httpd, but I think that's just because a) they are already using it or b) they think that Apache httpd provides some kind of speed boost. Pretty much the opposite is true: adding httpd simply adds unnecessary complexity to a system (if you are just passing-through requests to Tomcat). There are plenty of reasons to use Apache httpd in front of Tomcat. Access to port 80 on UNIX is /not/ one of them. Stick to jsvc: it doesn't even require any configuration, which is nice :) - -chris -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAkp63VAACgkQ9CaO5/Lv0PBnBACePs01YFuisbICzG+FnYAyE2hT PT8An3BLwrOiGrmw/fJFJBncc1SEXcss =SSk7 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscr...@tomcat.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: users-h...@tomcat.apache.org
