Ezra, When discussing values, some less than and some greater than one kelvin, I usually write only "kelvin" for all values, and not both "kelvin" and "kelvins"; but this violation of standard English practice might not be acceptable for you as a technical editor.
As Jim points out, all style guides do not agree on this question. Although not a matter of SI, note that "euro" is both singular and plural. Gene. .........................................
