What does /etc/fstab have for /dev/cdrom (or the appropriate device on your
system)?  Mine, a dvd-rom drive, has:

/dev/cdrom          /mnt/cdrom              iso9660 noauto,owner,kudzu,ro 0 0

I don't imagine that it would be very different for your drive (though having
never used a burner under Linux I may be barking up the wrong tree).
