Apparently, we can have an *unofficial* poll about this on the web site (a good idea, IF it can settle the matter once and for all), but to *officially* carry out such a name change (supposing it were to pass the vote, which is not at all certain) would require a non-trivial amount of (actual dead-tree) paperwork.
For what it's worth, which is admittedly not much, I favor the current name. But, if a poll on the web site can finally lay the matter to rest, then let's do it.
