I read your message as: As long as I'm in the neighborhood, might as well see what's happening. Oh, look, they're voting on something. Might as well give my two cents... but wait, I have to register. Not worth my time. *yawn* Guess I'll go find another way to entertain myself. At the heart of the discussion is the direction of the club. Are we about promoting Linux and Free Software? Are we here to help people use Unix like systems? Are we trying to overthrow Microsoft? I may have joked about it, but it is an important question that we need to decide collectively. Your complaint that some modicum of authentication is required to participate in club decisions was but flippant and hardly germane to the discussion. Without voting, the loudest voice wins and that's hardly how we want to run the club. (At least I expect you'll agree, since I can get kinda loud.) > My comment was meant to display frustration at the topic of a UUG name > change and large amount of emails associated to it. If it's not the name of the club, it'll be one of the other perennial topics. We're going to have to learn to cope, but it's not going away. Me, I've decided to give myself a time out.
