A while ago, I somehow associated "mplayer" the application with a folder. Everytime I try and double click on a folder, nothing happens. I tried to pull a windows trick and delete my account and start fresh, but when I delete my account, all my files, folders and settings under my /home/username directory is still there. So when I create a new account with the same username, all the stuff is back left unchanged. Do I simply need to delete that directory? Or will I have the same problem when I create my account again?
