I'd like to thank everyone for their hard work at the installfest today.
I think it might have been the most successful one we've had yet. We
installed 50+ machines and most went smoothly. It was interesting to see
that about 2/3 of the computers were laptops.

About 15 - 20 members of the club were helping out and there was
probably about another 10 or 15 people who just showed up to watch. I
was impressed with how many people you guys were able to help at once
and some of the problems you were able to fix. It was also great to see
younger members of the club getting more involved.

I'm going to send an e-mail message out to those who installed today to
invite them to subscribe to the newbies mailing list and come to our
meetings. If you're not on the newbies list feel free to join to help
answer some of their questions.

My only complaint is that room. Next time we'll have to find a better
one (we had people all along the hall too). Oh, and wireless support
still stinks under Linux. I really noticed that today with all the
laptops... :-)

Any comments on today's installfest or ideas for future installfests?

Thanks again!

-Evan

P.S. If you left anything at the installfest it's probably at my place.
Let me know if you're missing anything.
