I'm just trying to get the external ip address for the box. I tried
ftp'ing to a box back at home in California since it would log the
connection attempt, but it just timed out. I can't ftp to redhat or
anyone, it would seem. The ping not working cause of disabled icmp
makes sense though, im just not sure how to get the external address of
this thing now...

Thanks fellas!

It will browse the Internet, but what won't it do? This problem really
may be application (or port) specific, so it depends on what you're
trying to do. Any more details would be great.
